Blessings to all our ministry partners and Merry Christmas!

No, not a mistake, and no, it’s not Christmas but it’s time for us to begin our fundraising for the kids in the Philippines and Cambodia GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs, so as they say in the Philippines during Christmas season, “Maligayang Pasko.”

We have in the past times where we sent large boxes of donated toys to the kids as gifts, but this year, there are no such donations so we will provide what we have also in the past, a special meal for the kids which will be Filipino spaghetti and hotdogs and if we raise enough support, we will also give the kids some candy and some snacks as well. This may not sound like much but poor children in the Philippines rarely receive spaghetti and candy.

Last year, we fell well short of raising funds to send all the boxes of toys although we began asking for donations in August and the amount of money that we will need to give the kids a spaghetti meal will cost much less, I am not taking any chances and again asking this August.

This is a simple newsletter for this month. Everything is operating smoothly at all 11 GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs in the Philippines and also Cambodia although I ask not only for financial support, but also your prayers as the Philippines continues to be hit with earthquakes and hurricanes. We feed and teach over 400 poor kids every week, that’s a lot of work, especially since Jorlyn, I and all the workers are volunteers. Honestly, none of us have to provide the work, but we are compelled by God through the Holy Spirit to bless children and their families with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a unique but effective way. Your prayers and financial support are vital to continue to see generations come to Jesus as Lord and Savior as well as grow in Him.

I pray the Lord of The Harvest will bless and use you as well to help these kids continue to learn about God and the love of Jesus Christ.

Jorlyn and I pray you had a great month of June, and we welcome you to our monthly ministry newsletter once again.

As is our usual tradition, I am beginning the ministry newsletter update with one of the poor children that if you are a giver to this ministry, one of the poor children from our GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs, this feeding program is placed on Panay Island. Pastor Jeffrey sent me a photo (seen above) of Lisa. Her teacher said of Loisa,

“At first, it was difficult to encourage Loisa Ropa to join the children’s activities. She was hesitant and unsure about participating in the church programs. However, as she observed the other children enjoying the activities, learning together, and building friendships, a desire began to grow in her heart to be part of the group. With time, Loisa decided to join the feeding program. What started as a simple participation in the program soon became an opportunity for her to experience the love and care of the church community. Through the relationships she built and the encouragement she received, she became more involved in the ministry. Today, Loisa faithfully attends the feeding program, actively participates in Sunday School, and continues to attend church services. She is learning more about God and growing in her faith through the teachings and fellowship she receives each week. Her story is a wonderful reminder that patience, love, and consistent outreach can make a lasting impact on a child’s life. We thank God for Loisa’s willingness to respond and become part of the church family.”

Isn’t that a beautiful story? A very blessed testimony to not only the work being done and located on Panay Island but the investment of your donations into Loisa’s life and the lives of over 400 other children located at 11 GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs located in the Philippines and Cambodia. You are bringing forth beautiful and Kingdom bound fruit all for the glory of Jesus Christ! Thank You for all YOU do to make that happen!

Thank you once again for all your prayers coupled with your financial support. This last month we were able to meet and even exceed our financial goal for food expenses for feeding the poor kids. The amount given that was donated and extra went into July’s feeding budget. Praise the Lord for everyone who gave. Last month as well as in July we have our website yearly payments due as well as other payments due for our operating budget. Please remember, just like the pastors and teachers who are volunteers without pay, Jorlyn and I are also without pay as we are volunteers as well. We do have an operating budget and we must pay our bills, just like you, so we appreciate any and all help. One person donates $10 every month to help with office supplies. That is a definite help, but we have other operating expenditures as well. Please prayerfully consider donating for those other expenditures too.             

As I usually do every newsletter, please allow me take a minute to remind you as well that Global Family Outreach Ministry is much more than Poor Children’s Feeding Programs. I am a licensed Christian therapist and provide counseling for individuals and families. We also have a church planting ministry, evangelism and also human and sex trafficking rescue mission. We provide all this under GFOM. If ever you or your church has a need in these areas, or would like to invite Jorlyn and I to speak at your church regarding GFOM and what we provide, please feel free to contact Jorlyn and I so that we can prayerfully be a blessing to you or your church as well.
