July 2025 Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly Newsletter
Greetings and prayers for you from myself and all of the laborers at Global Family Outreach Ministry!
Praise the Lord for all of you that had given your love, prayers and support for our ministry! God bless you for all and everything you had provided to do so very much! You’re a true blessing!
July was a physically, and in some cases an exhausting month for many of the kids, teachers and pastors located at our 9 GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs. There were several very large hurricanes that hit the Philippines. Perhaps you seen some of our photos shared on social media, or on the news? Evacuations were ordered in many areas as flooding literally washed away houses and people. Praise the Lord, we did not receive any reports of loss of life in regards to any of the kids or the volunteers who operate the feeding programs.
Praise the Lord, again, we met our financial minimum to feed all the poor kids and teach them Bible lessons. That means the funds over the minimum during the month of June will hopefully still be available later this year when we open our 10th GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Program in the Philippines. Jorlyn and I are asking the Lord for specific directions and placement. Would you also please ask the Lord to guide us for that? Please and hopefully do not mind, I want to once again share with you what I also shared last month with you regarding the importance regarding “what it takes to open a feeding program, it actually takes a lot of work and funding. Please allow me to explain, the first item we choose to do is hold an evangelistic outreach in an area. Usually that area is a remote barangay (town). We send a pastor and his team of church workers to share and evangelize Biblical Jesus with those whom he has gathered to hear him preach salvation through Jesus Christ. After the preaching we give out a snack and refreshment while the pastor makes a list of those children, their address and contact information for attending the new feeding program. We then purchase cooking utensils like pots, pans, etc. We also pay for a Global Family Outreach Ministry Feeding Program banner so the adults and children always know where the feeding program is being held. So, as you can see, that is our initial work and costs just to get started.” I share this information with you again in case someone missed this information last month. I want everyone to have a chance to understand the process of opening a GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Program and also to take comfort that your donations are spent wisely.
This month’s featured child from our 9 feeding programs is John Robert. John is one of the many children who attend our GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Program in Aklan. When I asked his teacher about John, she told me that he has a “quiet yearning for purpose, like all the children in his town of Dumaguit. Most of the children there are very poor. John Robert’s journey to Jesus has been marked by resilience, faith and much hope which is all shaped with a spirit [of God] because of many challenges, but his soul touched by God’s grace. John Robert found strength through the love of Jesus who guided his every step. His life began to shift in a meaningful way when the feeding program reached out to him with open arms. As one of its beneficiaries, John Robert received more than nourishment-he encountered a community that reflected God’s love and support that strengthened his faith. Through every meal, prayer, and moment of care, he grew not only physically, but also spiritually and emotionally. Today, John Robert stands as a living testimony to God’s unfailing provision and the power of [Jesus’] compassion. His story is one of transformation, and reminder that when [Jesus’] love leads, even the smallest seed of faith can grow a life filled with purpose and promise.”
After being given that report from John’s teacher, it still resounds within my spirit how effective God’s word is when planted in children. The absolute power of God to transform any of us is amazing. Your true and heavenly investment is reaping souls for Christ. There is no better purpose for any of us than that. God promises both Earthly and heavenly blessings for anyone willing to see the Gospel shared and be part of souls coming to Jesus as Lord and Savior. Thank you so very much for all you have done! Jorlyn, I and every volunteer at GFOM loves and appreciates you!
Lastly, I’d like to ask, if you choose to mail us a check or money order for the ministry, please always use the P.O. Box address listed on the website, never to our home. Sending a check to our home is not a guarantee that we will receive it. Also, and again, Jorlyn and I continue to pray that at some point during 2025, we can open our 10th feeding program. Would you please also pray about that for, and with us? We both would appreciate any and all prayers for these beautiful kids, the teachers and also other volunteers who help.
