Greetings friends and family of Global Family Outreach Ministry!
A New look for this month’s newsletter for you ?
First, this month I am including an update regarding one of the poor children you are helping located at one of our GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs on Negros Island. His name is Romeo and Romeo wanted to write his own report, so please read what Romeo wrote about himself,
“My name is Romeo Ibanez. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was 12 years old.I first joined a feeding program because I was hungry. But it was not only food that I received. When Sir James Da-al teaches us the bible story & the Gospel of Lord Jesus Christ As I listened, I began to understand God’s love. And I realized that I needed Jesus Christ in my life. That was the day I got saved. And after that I started to go to church & follow the Lord in the water of baptism. The feeding program became the tool God used to reach me. It changed my life not just physically, but spiritually. I thank God for that program, & Also for Dr. Paul & Maam Jorlyn because through the Feeding Ministry I found Jesus & changed my life.”

Although his words are a bit short, they go directly to the point. Romeo fully understands what you who donate to these poor children understand. That the food is only a “tool” to bring a message of hope and salvation to these children and as they mature in following Christ, they do the work of an evangelist. Amen. When Romeo thanks myself and Jorlyn for the feeding program, he is thanking you. He is in reality thanking you because of your faithfulness and real sacrifice to see Romeo’s life and over 400 more other poor children in the Philippines and Cambodia to become saved and changed through Christ, so thank you!
Here are some more updates for you:
Haiti: During the month of April, Jorlyn and I held several meetings with a Haitian-American couple regarding updates for mobilization in Haiti for not only new GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs, but widespread evangelism outreaches. Jorlyn and I were informed that national elections are scheduled for the end of August, 2026, but the current government is not announcing any plans regarding how those elections will occur. The island nation continues to suffer political unrest. The Haitian-American husband whom we were speaking and without asking him, offered to be our interpreter and is looking forward to help Jorlyn and I share the Gospel throughout the entire island. That was a blessing to hear! I ask for your prayers for Haiti and open doors for us to share the Gospel and open the poor children’s feeding programs there.
Laos:We have a Christian in location who is quietly doing the Lord’s work. We are attempting to see iof we can somehow offer snacks (not meals) for children while personal testimony from that person is there. It is extremely dangerous work to take on something like that as the Communist government does not want Christianity offered or spoken. It is our prayer that we will be able to soon have to opportunity to do all this and see children and adults saved through Christ. This situation is yet another prayer request, please! We believe we having a calling top operate there, even if only at a smaller scale for now until the Holy Spirit provides a larger opportunity later.
Thank you once again for all your prayers coupled with your financial support. This last month we were able to meet our financial goal, but not without the help of one specific person who donated 60% of the funds to operate the ministry. Hopefully you read that, “one person is donating 60% to operate GFOM.” I urge all and everyone reading this newsletter, please donate to help these poor kids and efforts to evangelize in difficult places as we are doing. Food and gasoline prices are soaring world-wide and is costing us more to operate too. We have all beautiful people who are supporting this ministry, but we are in real need of more like them to help out too. Our minimum need to operate is $750 per month to feed over 400 children on a weekly basis.
As I usually do every newsletter, please allow me take a minute to remind you as well that Global Family Outreach Ministry is much more than Poor Children’s Feeding Programs. I am a licensed Christian therapist and provide counseling for individuals and families. We also have a church planting ministry, evangelism and also human and sex trafficking rescue mission. We provide all this under GFOM. If ever you or your church has a need in these areas, or would like to invite Jorlyn and I to speak at your church regarding GFOM and what we provide, please feel free to contact Jorlyn and I so that we can prayerfully be a blessing to you or your church as well.
If you choose to mail us a check or money order for the ministry, please always use the P.O. Box address listed on the website, never to our home. Sending a check to our home is not a guarantee that we will receive it.
