BE A HERO NOW

Sponsoring Needy Children Around The World

2 Balikbayan boxes

Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly Newsletter, July 2015

Merry Christmas !

Well, not yet anyway. It is time though that the Lord uses the largest celebrated holiday in the Philippines to bring glory to Him.

Every year, we provide the children and sometimes also our all GFOM volunteer staff in the Philippines with a Christmas gift to show them that Jesus does care about them despite being poor. It’s never enough to preach the Salvation Message of Jesus as Lord and Saviour without showing also that the Lord cares for them in a practical way. That is why we feed the poor children we serve weekly, and that is also why one time per year, we give away gifts of some kind on or around Christmas Day.

During the past ten months or so, Jorlyn and I have been busy asking local residents to donate good used clothing and other items to the Global Family Outreach Ministry Christmas giveaway in the Philippines. After an exhaustive time of searching and sometimes begging for items, by God’s grace, we have been successful enough to have the ability to ship two balikbayan boxes stuffed with these donated times.

Each box will cost $120.(usd) each to ship. This includes the cost of packing, securing and transporting each box to Aklan, Province where the GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Program is located. Over the years, I have become an expert one might say, regarding the efficiency of packing a balikbayan box. Believe me when I tell you, there is not even an 1/8th of an inch of room left in a balikbayan box when I am finished packing. 🙂

Because the boxes are put inside large shipping containers aboard, it takes time to reach the middle of the Philippines all the way from the USA, so stuffing and getting the two boxes with gifts to a drop off site must be completed by August 31st, 2015 to ensure that all the items will arrive by December 24th, 2015.

Please help this Christmas Holiday be a light for Jesus Christ by helping us get the two boxes shipped. Thank you and God bless those of you who have been, and continue to be a co-laborer in Chirst by seeing the children we serve, come to Christ through a practical means. There is much work yet to be done in God’ Kingdom. God Bless you.

Here is the link to send your love gift to help, just click on the “Send A Box” button if you wish to help to send these balikbayan boxes.  http://beaheronow.net/donate.html  Thanks and Blessings !

GLOBAL FAMILY OUTREACH MONTHLY MINISTRY NEWSLETTER FOR JUNE, 2015

Dear family and friend of Global Family Outreach Ministry,

We hope and pray that the Lord has seen you blessed in every way since sending our last monthly newsletter.

We know that some of you have had some tough personal trials as of late, and we certainly are praying for you ! God has a way however of helping us even in our darkest hour doesn’t He ?

Speaking of personal trials, as we look upon the face and smiles of the children that we serve every week in Aklan Province, Philippines, I must tell you, I often see in the eyes of those same children, the eyes of you, our faithful ministry partners. What a joy it is to see wonderful and beautiful Jesus things that you have done for these poor kids. You have made a way for each one of them to meet Jesus personally.

How well can I express my dearest thanks to those of you that faithful help in the needs of these children ? It is impossible to say thank you enough times. There are not many of you helping these children so every penny that you do give, is something we are so grateful for and is well cherished and looked after.

That said, I would like you to meet one of the children this minsitry is looking after, his name is  Nico. Nico is the youngest of two siblings. His father is a fisherman and his mother is a housewife. His family like many of the children that we serve at our Global Family Outreach Ministry, Poor Children’s Feeding Program are all very poor. Nico also has a heart disorder and asthma. Doctor visits and medication are of course available to children like Nico, but only if there parents can afford them. Unfortunately and sadly, Nico’s mom and dad cannot afford the necessary medication and doctor visits that are needed.

We do what we can for children like Nico. As I mentioned earlier in this month’s Newsletter, there are very few like you giving love gifts to keep the GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Program operating so getting help for children like Nico and others that we serve is financially impossible at this time. We do however have a Global Family Outreach Ministry Program called “Sponsor A Child..” There, for just $30.00(usd) per month, children are able to get the extra help they need such as doctor visits and medicine.

We pray hard for the children that we help, beyond prayer and actually physically feeding them and giving them also the Gospel of Jesus Christ, there is little else that we can do for them. The reality is, financially, the rest must come from God and His generous people.

We ask that you would please prayerfully not only increase your financial giving to this worth while Christian Ministry so that more children may know Jesus in a personal way, but that you would also please consider sponsoring Nico or another child like him at our GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Program. Please pray about this request. We so desperately need to hear from you.

To give your best love offering today, please go to this website…. http://beaheronow.net/donate.html

Thank you again to those that already give faithfully. May the Lord richly bless and keep you !!

Greetings wonderful Family and Friends of Global Family Outreach Ministry,

Here we are the middle of the year already. So much work to do for Christ, and seemingly, so little time.

Indeed, we have been busy helping and blessing many more children in our ministry as of late. Ever since we seen a jump in the number of children we are serving, I need to let you know that the devil and his imitators of Jesus have also set up camp down the road from us. This is a serious matter.

We are not concerned about others doing what we do, that is sharing Jesus as Lord and Saviour as stated in the Bible, but the devil has started a program that is stealing souls of children by telling them that they don’t need Jesus, don’t need the Bible and by their own efforts of their “work” and “religion”, they too can have the same reward as what the Bible tells them that they cannot. We all know that nothing could be further from the Biblical truth, Jesus said Himself that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, there is no other way.

Are we concerned for us and our program staying alive due to these imitators of truth ? No, we are not, but we are certainly concerned for the children and their families that we serve and do not serve. The devil is a sneaky and snakey individual that will lie, cheat and steal in order to rob folks of their right standing with Christ. Global Family Outreach Ministry is the only true Biblical Program helping children in a Biblically practical way in New Washington, Aklan, Philippines. If our Poor Children’ Feeding  Program is lost or becomes ineffective, it will only make the devil’s job easier to rob the souls of children who are susceptible to his attack.

Fifty to 100 children get a chance to hear God’s Word and taught what the Bible is meant for all people-everywhere at our GFOM Poor Children’ Feeding Program. I suppose if we weren’t so effective, we wouldn’t have had the devil’s program litterally open up just down the road from us.

This month, I’ve included a specific photo of the GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Program that tells much of who and what we are, as well as how effective we really are. Children are often an innocent indicator of truth. You can tell by the expressions on their faces what is truly happening in their lives. I believe the photo that you see attached with this month’s newsletter tells you that indeed, by God’s grace, Jesus has impacted greatly upon the children we are serving.

How about you ? Would you like to be part of this awesome ministry and defeat the devil at his game to steal souls of children? If you do, please visit here… http://www.beaheronow.net/donate.html and give your best love gift today. For those who are already giving, thank you so very much again for realizing just how important this ministry is, and how effectiove we really are for Christ. Great is your reward in Heaven. God bless you !

Global Family Outreach Ministry, Monthly Newsletter For April, 2015

Greetings precious family and friend of Global Family Outreach Ministry,

We are so blessed to give to you our praise reports and monthly newsletters so that those of you who give your love gifts for the work of the Lord, may share in the labor of your love.

This last month of April was a spectacular and blessed month. It would appear that the Lord Jesus Himself is doing something in the hearts of the people and community we serve in Aklan, Philippines. We have seen a sudden jump in the number of children attending both our GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding program, and also attendance in the local church where we have our Poor Children’s Feeding Program located.

We see the Spirit of God moving in people’s lives, a real hunger for God and His word also in Aklan. This is a minor miracle, but a miracle none-the-less. We are encouraged by the Lord Himself and pray that those of you who are faithfully blessing these children, are equally blessed and encourage as well in this news.

Of course, as more children come in to receive Biblical guidance and instruction with a nutritious meal each week, our costs in operation goes upward. This simply means we have to find ways to do what we do, and that is to see children know Jesus in a practical way by whatever means God and His people choose to give. We of ourselves here in Global Family Outreach Ministry, are all volunteers, none of us are being paid for our service unto the Lord.

It was a few years ago, we were serving over 100 children each week, sadly, we had to turn hungry children away from our program because we didn’t have the funding nor the means to feed all the children. As we are once again seeing a resurgence in the number of children we are serving, it is my sincere hope that good folks such as yourself will sacrificially give even a few dollars per month to help that not occur again. Much chaos is exploding around the world and we desire that as many as possible that we can see come to Christ before His return, is made possible. I’m quite positive you feel the same urgency in your heart as well.

We currently have a few faithful givers and we are so very, very grateful to the Lord for them. We could never do what we do without them and a very large thanks again goes out to them(they know who they are 🙂 ). For all others who have not given a love gift in awhile, or ever at all, would you please seriously and prayerfully consider being a faithful and monthly giver to this ministry, helping the poor children ? I hope you do. If your answer is “yes”, Praise the Lord for you and here is the link to find where you can give your love donation today… http://www.beaheronow.net/donate.html

Our faith is great that God will meet our needs and that by your co-laboring with Global Family Outreach Ministry, we will see many souls reached for Christ in a practical way.

May the Lord who has blessed these children, also and grant you a returned double portion in and of  your giving.

Greetings Family and Friends of Global Family Outreach Ministry.

Welcome to Summertime, Well, Summer in the Philippines anyway. Yes, it’s very hot and humid. As summer has begun, also school is very much under way as well.

The children we serve are busy with their school days filled with homework and chores. In fact most of the children we serve also help their families in the family businesses of fishing, farming and other forms of earning a meager wage. School supplies are expensive and in the Philippines, a luxury as well.

It literally takes the efforts of an entire family to help just one child to complete a basic education in the Philippines. As well, as you can well imagine, it is quite difficult to accomplish when you have little to no money to feed a family no less help a child get an education.

At our Global Family Outreach Ministry Poor Children’s Feeding Program, we help defer the cost of a meal for the families and the children we feed at our program. Of course, the food and money saved for the family is not our ultimate goal, it helps, but that’s not why we feed these precious children.

Our number one goal has always been, and always will be the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and seeing the children and families we serve saved through Jesus Christ. The food we serve is always tasty and nutritious, but getting the message of hope to the lost is our ultimate goal even by and through your awesome love gifts, we are able to serve hot dogs 🙂

Will you please prayerfully consider helping this well needed ministry if you aren’t already ? To those that have been faithfully giving already, praise the Lord for you ! God bless you !

When sending your love gifts, please make your tax deductible giving here…. http://www.beaheronow.net/donate.html

Thank you so very, very much and God Bless,

Global Family Outreach Monthly Newsletter For February, 2015

Greetings to you, our family and friend of Global Family Outreach Ministry,

It seems like just yesterday that I have written to you with our monthly report regarding our vital and important ministry in the Philippines. How time flies.

This month, we are featuring information on our Director of the Global Family Outreach, Poor Children’s Feeding Program. His name is German Lapido. I call him “Nong German” because as he is older than me, “Nong” means “older brother” and is used as a respectful term addressing a man in the Aklan and Iloilo Provincial Areas of the Philippines.

If you call him “Nong German”, I am quite sure that your addressing him as such, would indeed be a blessing him. I say that because he has earned my respect, and as well, the respect of many others within the Philippines because of his tireless love and hard work for Jesus. In fact, Nong German has been saved through Jesus Christ for over forty years now and has been involved in ministry for many years as well..

Nong German loves people, a gift from the Lord, he uses his love for both Jesus and families to share the Gospel and to feed and clothe the poorest of children all around him there in Aklan. He has a heart hard after God, and when he see’s a poor child or a needy family, Nong German will take his time to reach out to that child and or that poor family so that they may know the Lord in a special way.

Yes, Nong German believes as Christ Jesus does, all people are special and Nong German volunteers all his time as Director of the Global Family Outreach Ministry Poor Children’s Feeding Program in Aklan. He uses all his personal time, energy and even some of his personal and meager money to do the Lord’s work with the children we serve. He does it for the pure joy of serving the Lord.

Indeed, GFOM is blessed to have Nong German volunteer as the Director of our Poor Children’s Feeding Program there in Aklan, Philippines. The Bible however states in 1Timothy 5:18 “For the Scriptures say, ‘Do not muzzle the ox while it is treading’, and, ‘The laborer deserves his wages.’” I believe that although Nong German volunteers his time to help the children, he should be given some financial compensation for his many years of labor for the Lord and hard work, don’t you ?

This month, I am asking that you would please not only help us pay for our monthly expenses to feed the poor children we serve, but also to give a love gift specifically for Nong German. His many years of service and in his later years of life should be granted with a little financial help to him so that he will not become discouraged from the hard work that he endures. Will you please send your best love gift today to Global Family Outreach Ministry ? If you want to bless Nong German with financial compensation, when giving, just send a note along with your love gift with the words, “Nong German” so that those funds will be sent directly to him. If you have a special message for him as well, please send that message as well with your love gift and we will pass along both to him. Love gifts can be given here… http://beaheronow.net/donate.html

I do pray and hope you will take the God given opportunity to see the Lord’s work continued there in Aklan, Philippines. I know not only the Lord and I are very thankful to you for your help, so is Nong German.

God bless !

Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly Newsletter for January, 2015
Praise The Lord, We pray that this month’s ministry newsletter finds you joyful, happy and blessed in the Lord. One month into 2015, we are keeping our eyes on the Lord as He leads us and pray He is helping you to also do the same.

Global Family Outreach Ministry has experienced no great changes in our programming or how we operate. We have however seen quite a drop in donations to the ministry. Despite that  issue, we continue to teach the children we serve, how and why to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour, why Jesus loves them, why it is important to follow the cross of Christ and more, including feeding them food. We are indeed busy, busy and busy. Finances as you may very well be aware an important part of keeping children fed both spiritually and physically. Sadly, although we are busy doing the Lord’s work, GFOM only received $30. for the whole month of January to help the poor children we serve. To be honest, it was a great strain on us to make the $30. stretch for a whole month.

The good news is, the Lord helped us get through the month and our usual 35-50 children were fed and blessed with Bible lessons each with not only spiritual food but physical food as well. It was a very tough month to get through and a great strain on us to help the poor that we serve together, but praise the Lord we did it. I pray that you will help these poor children so that we can get through the month of February. It would be wonderful if there were more good folks such as yourself in helping so I wouldn’t have to beg you every month for the funds that we need to operate, but sadly, that is how it is right now. Times are tough for some and that is why it is important more now than ever, to believe God by taking that faith step and send your best love gift today to all the kids we take care of.

If you are already giving to GFOM, you see the joy on the children’s faces that we serve from the photos we provide on our ministry website and monthly ministry newsletters. How great is God ? He is awesome and we know that He uses His people to help provide for those who are less fortunate.

Indeed, If you give monthly to Global Family Outreach Ministry, we want to say thank you again, so very, very much. For those who rarely or have not yet given, we want to encourage you to please prayerfully consider making a heart decision to give your best love gift each and every month. You can do that by going to this link….. http://beaheronow.net/donate.html.

Indeed, God is awesome and so are those of you have the faith to be a Global Family Outreach Ministry Team Member.

God’s Blessings to you,

Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly Newsletter For December, 2014
Happy New Year everyone…. May the Lord bless you in an awesome way during 2015.

Yes, it’s a new year but in this month’s newsletter, we want to share with you what occurred with Global family Outreach Ministry’s Poor Children’s Feeding Program in Aklan, Philippines and where we as a ministry are heading during 2015…..

First, I want to say thank you so much to those of you who gave during 2014 and also to those who gave an extra financial blessing, Christmas gifts for the poor children we serve in the Philippines. The gift we gave for every child was a bright yellow t-shirt with the GFOM logo but also with big black letters “ Jesus Saves.” How about that for a message ? Wow ! We praise the Lord for those t-shirts because they are not only a handy advertisement of what the ministry does but more importantly, identifies Jesus Christ as Saviour of these children’s lives. A very cool evangelistic tool I believe.

December 2014, also ended with not only the Christmas gifts we gave those poor children but also of course a Christmas Party where the children played games and attended a Bible lesson as they always partake before they eat the meal we provide them. As you are most likely aware, Global Family Outreach Ministry shares Jesus not only by word of mouth, but also in a very helping and practical way through action. I have always believed and found that folks all around the world respond best to receiving Jesus Christ in their hearts as prescribed in the Bible, if a personal need is met. In the Philippines, there are many malnourished and poor children, so feeding them is our way of using that practical means of action.

During 2015, our goal is to continue to operate the Global Family Outreach Ministry Poor Children’s Feeding Program in Aklan, Philippines. We would also like to add/open another poor children’s feeding program somewhere else in the Philippines if we can gather more financial support and workers. Also, we will continue to seek Sponsors for our “Sponsor A Child Program” which costs only $30.(USD) per month. We will be looking also for a donated used ambulance as well as donated used firetruck to send to the Philippines which will require shipping costs to get them there. If you are interested in helping to support any of these Jesus endeavors, please visit… http://beaheronow.net/donate.html

As a reminder, Global Family Outreach Ministry is an IRS approved 501c3 Charity that does give tax deductible receipts for any and all donations that we receive.  Please give here…. http://beaheronow.net/donate.html .

What can you do to help make this ministry more effective ? By simply praying for us, praying for those whom we serve and giving your best love offering to these children each and every month. Additionally, I would also please ask that during 2015, you would find ten(10) other kind hearted folks like yourself that would also seriously consider being a GFOM team member of this loving and awesome ministry. As we pray for each of you that sacrificially give of your time and finances to Global Family Outreach Ministry, we know that the Lord will give back to you one-hundred times more in return. By working together, we can see more children and their families come to Christ.

So please, help us start out and continue in 2015 to help more and more of the lonely, the hurting, the hungry, the poor and the lost without Christ. God bless you greatly for being a help and a blessing ! You can give your best love gift right now by clicking on this link… http://beaheronow.net/donate.html

Blessings !

GLOBAL FAMILY OUTREACH MINISTRY MONTHLY NEWSLETTER FOR NOV., 2014

Greetings in Jesus Name.

We here at Global family Outreach Ministry pray that you are blessed and that this newsletter receives and see’s you enjoying life, in good health and in every way blessed.

Can you believe that it is December already ? Wow !, I am laughing to myself that every year that I am alive, each year goes by so quickly. Perhaps you feel the same ? When I was a child, time always seemed to drag and be so so slow. I wanted to hurry up and become an adult.

Speaking of time and being a child, we want to thank all of you that have been giving financially to help the poor and malnourished children we serve in Aklan, Philippines. Thank you so very, very much. May God bless you one hundred times over for your help. We are serving approximately 5o children per week steadily now and we are encouraging more and more children to attend while at the same time, evangelizing the children our ministry workers meet.

As we wind down here in 2014, we are still looking for financial and love gifts here at GFOM to give to the children we serve in the Philippines for Christmas. A small gift for the children is a practical way of showing the love of Jesus and how His birth and death on the cross for all or sins is the true gift to all of us. Will you please give a gift for a child today ?

You can do so at http://beaheronow.net/donate.html Thank you ahead of time to those that do decide with their precious hearts to give and help.

As the year 2015 fast approaching, Jorlyn and I are looking for churches and Missions Conferences to attend next year to share about our Christ filled and Christ loving ministry. Will you please ask your pastor and or invite us to your church or Christian Missions Conference so we can raise our support to help the children throughout 2015 ? We pray that you will. Let us know. You can contact me at paul@gfom.org to invite us or answer any questions.

The children we all serve through Global family Outreach Ministry is such a vital need in the Philippines. So many children are in need of Christ’s practical love. To those who have given in helping, thank you again. To those yet to give and help, please give your best love gift today. Again, you can give at http://beaheronow.net/donate.html. To all that can get us into your church or Missions Conference to speak and share, let us know via e-mail message regarding that event. Thank you all so much.

God’s Blessings !

Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly Newsletter-October, 2014

Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly Newsletter-October, 2014

Greetings Family and Friends of GFOM,

We are very blessed and pleased to once again make our monthly report to you, especially to those who are actively supporting this wonderful and practical Jesus Ministry to the poor children and their families.

In the Philippines, we are well the “ber” seasons. A little Filipino joke and play on the English language, that is “ber” as in a reference to being cold and from Septem”ber” to Deceme”ber”, unless you are living high up on a mountain, it really never get’s cold in the Philippines, just a little cooler. Something else that occurs during the “ber” season, Christmas Season begins and October see’s children especially getting excited. Most Filipinos that we serve are fairly poor so Christmas is a season where a simple gift for the children usually brings a few school supplies like pencils and note pads. Sometimes, a blouse for a girl or a t-shirt for a boy. Of course for us Christians, the true season for Christmas is Jesus and His birth.

At our Global Family Outreach Ministry Poor Children’s Feeding Program, we always get children prepared for Christmas with a special attention to their relationship with Jesus. We use the opportunity that the world provides as a holiday for the children to realize that Christmas is not about worldly gifts, but rather about Jesus, God’s only Son as a gift to all humanity and the importance of salvation through Him. This means teaching Bible lessons and learning Christmas songs that glorify Jesus as well.

We are praying how we can have a larger impact on the children and their family’s that we are serving and have also a larger impact on the community where we are serving them. Celebrating Christmas gives us as special opportunity to see others come to Christ in a practical way. During this Christmas Season, will you please help us also in a practical way so that we may also impact children and their families in a much larger way also. You can do so by giving your best love gift here…. http://beaheronow.net/donate.html

May the Lord greatly bless you  and Joy To The World !
