Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly News Letter for November-2020

Greetings dear family, friends and supporters of Global Family Outreach Ministry, We pray that this newsletter finds you in good spirits and happy in the Lord.

We give all praise to the Lord Jesus for all we are able to accomplish together including feeding children with nutritious food and Jesus in the hearts of those we help. Your love gifts are a BIG reason why we are able to continue in the Lord’s work and We cannot thank you enough for all you do as well!

In case you missed last month’s newsletter, we are seeing an increase and number of children as well as their parents/relatives come to Christ, we are also seeing them water baptized as well. This is due once again, to all of your help through monthly and sustained monthly financial giving.

As we are writing this newsletter in very early December, we would like to remind you that all giving to GFOM is tax deductible for American Citizens. To take advantage of this IRS rule, please see your accountant of contact the IRS for information.  

To all those receiving our newsletter, if you have never given, or haven’t made a financial donation in a while, please remember to make a donation in any amount to our Poor Children’s Feeding Program, that would very be helpful especially that we have fallen financially short during the month. As announced in last month’s monthly newsletter, In 2021 we have no plans to slow down. We are already praying the Lord and His people would provide so we could open two more Global Family Outreach Ministry Poor Children’s Feeding Programs. We have spoken with several individuals already in and outside the Philippines regarding starting at least one new GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Program early in 2021. Starting a new feeding program with our current stream of funding certainly looks impossible, but with the Lord, everything is possible, with and through Him. Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly News Letter for October-2020

Greetings dear and precious family and friends of GFOM,

Our prayers for you and hope that you are well in and through Christ Jesus!

We praise the Lord for all we see occurring through the Lord and your sacrificial giving. Not only did the 6 boxes filled with clothes, toys and food items arrive at our GFOM Feeding Program facility, the children continue to grow in Christ. The boxes filled with items that some of you paid for, will be distributed in December. Expect to see plenty of photos when they are handed out ?

In addition to all that good news, we see some of the children being water baptized after their firm commitment and salvation through Jesus, all very good news and YOU helped with your financial donations. We are so grateful for your support. In all appearances we are in what the Bible refers to “end times.” As hearts grow darker as Jesus and the Bible states they will during this period, Praise the Lord, you have remained thankful, so we are very grateful for you!

In addition also, we are grateful to those who remain faithful to the Lord and the children we are serving. Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly News Letter for September-2020
 
Greetings dear family and friends of GFOM,

This month’s newsletter brings much joy and appreciation for all that you have done for the poor and malnourished children that we serve together in the Philippines!

The reports of continued salvations and water baptisms of not only children in our four-GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs, but an increasing number of parents who have also come to Christ because of the work that you and I do together! Since the beginning of this year, we have seen hundreds of children and their parents accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Praise the Lord, families are attending church services and Bible studies as they are able. The Covid-10 Virus has slowed down attendance, but not the love for Jesus and children as well as their parents accepting Christ! Praise the Lord! As a reminder, The children who attend see death because of the virus all around them, but the feeding programs you and I provide, are a beacon of hope as we teach them how much Jesus cares about them, providing physical as well as spiritual nourishment. 

Also as as a reminder, Christmas is coming and is the biggest holiday in the Philippines. We have shipped boxes of clothes, food and toys to be distributed to the children during Christmas time. The latest report about the boxes sent, they are in the port of Singapore and will be departing to Manila, Philippines next. Please continue to pray for the safety of the boxes and their safe as well intact arrival all the way to Negros Island. It is a very long haul from the U.S to the middle of the Philippines. In addition to the boxes of gifts for the children, we are hopeful to have a Christmas party for the children. We are thinking of giving the children some special food such as fried chicken during the party. You and I may not think of fried chicken as being special, but in the Philippines, especially in the provinces, fried chicken is almost a delicacy. Would you please help us give the children this special treat to help show them the practical love of Jesus?

Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly News Letter for August-2020

Greetings family and friends of GFOM,

I am writing this newsletter to inform you of a present and real possibility of once again needing to temporarily shut-down our 4 GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding programs. Several barangay’s (towns) next to our feeding programs have just been shut down for 2 weeks due to a rise in a number of positive cases of Covid-19. Only by the grace of God are the areas where we serve, not yet impacted.

If you were not aware, the Republic of The Philippines has implemented some of the strictest rules pertaining to lock-downs, mandated face masks and shields, anywhere in the world but continues to see very high numbers of positive cases. If you have not been praying for the people of the Philippines, I ask that you would please do so now.

Many families in the Philippines are severely limited to access to food and quality health care. If we had the resources, we would hire a physician to check on the children and families we serve, especially ensuring the children we serve receive the medical care they need during the pandemic there. Perhaps that is something the Lord has placed on your heart. If so and you would like to help, please contact me at paul@gfom.org and I can discuss the options available to provide that help.

For now, and Thank the Lord, our 4 Poor Children’s Feeding Programs are all operational. The children who attend see death because of the virus all around them, but the feeding programs you and I provide, are a beacon of hope as we teach them how much Jesus cares about them, providing physical as well as spiritual nourishment. Greetings dear family and friends of GFOM,

We will be updating you here regarding our work and ministry in the Philippines and how the Cornona-19 Virus has impacted what we are able to do. Praise the Lord we are allowed to continue our work sharing the Gospel of Jesus and feeding the children with food at all four of our GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs.

The adults and children all should be wearing masks, but where we serve the children, not all the children we serve can afford simple cloth masks. Please remember that the families that we serve are relatively poor. If you have been able to see our weekly posts of photos on social media, you can see just how poor many of the children and their families are. It is a sad fact that Covid-19 Virus cases continue to rise despite many rules that restrict Filipinos and their movement outside their homes.

We want you to know that we are doing everything we can to assist the pastors of the churches and areas where we are feeding the kids. It must be said that those of you who have been putting your “feet with your prayers” are making a big impact. The GFOM Board and I are extremely grateful for each one of you. When times became difficult for us in the West, you still gave to help these children. Each of you are a real blessing!

Greetings awesome family and friends of GFOM,

We pray the Lord is protecting and blessing you wherever you are. The Covid-19 has been hard on some of you hitting you financially as well as physically. Whatever we go through in life, we cam always trust the Lord to help us. Amen.

Praise the Lord I can report to you that all four of our Global Family Outreach Poor Children’s Feeding Programs are fully operational, thanks to awesome and loving folks such as those of you who coupled your prayers with financial donations. Children and their families are once again receiving the word of God in a practical way, Thank the Lord!

You may be wondering why there is a photo of boxes on this month’s GFOM newsletter. Well, believe it or not, I am going to share to you about Christmas. Celebration of “Christmas in July” you may be replying…no actually we will be shipping these six “balikbayan” boxes to our 4 feeding programs in the Philippines at the end of this August. We know it takes approximately 4 months for boxes to be shipped to the remote area of the Philippines, so the end of August is our time to ship. It costs us $125 to ship each box. By God’s grace, we already have one person who has sponsored one box, but need financial help shipping the other 5 boxes filled with toys, children’s clothes and some dried foods. Please help us soon as the end of August is quickly approaching.

Global Family Outreach Ministry Monthly News Letter for April-2020

Greetings family and friends of GFOM,

Our sincere prayers for you as the Cornona-19 Virus has hit world wide including in the Philippines where we are presently locked down, and cannot feed the hungry and malnourished children. The Filipino Government has ordered all families to stay at home. There is nothing left for us to do but pray and prepare for when the pandemic is over as well as feed whole families, when funds become available.

God is sovereign and although we only fed the kids only one time in April, we are preparing in other ways to feed the families. As I write this monthly newsletter in early May, we are already finding ways to feed whole families through separate and individual donations that you are sending. Thus far, we have fed five families, for 1 week each.

We understand at present that it will be until May 16, 2020 until we might be able to open our 4 Poor Children’s Feeding Programs again. There is no guarantee of this date being the exact date because the Corona Virus is continuing to spread in the Philippines even as I am writing this newsletter.

GFOM Monthly News Letter For March, 2020

Hello friend and family,

We pray and hope that no matter where you are today, the good Lord is keeping you safe during the Wuhan Virus Pandemic.

At the time of writing this monthly update (April 7, 2020) the Global Family Outreach Ministry Poor Children’s Feeding Program has been temporarily shut-down due to the virus spread in the Philippines. The Filipino Government officials love our help, but everything is shut-down due to the virus; Sadly, we have reports that the poor are literally starving to death because they have little access to food.

During the month of March however, we are were able to operate every weekend and feed poor and malnourished children. We were able to share the word of God before each meal and also I wish to share with you because of the virus and feelings of uncertainty by many Filipinos where we hold our 4 GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs, many more adults and children have come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior! We have seen several hundred children attend each week at our GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding programs and increase in their faith, and or walk with Christ. Children fed often return to their families to share Christ and the importance of Biblical Scriptures in their walk with the God who helps them.

Unfortunately for our GFOM Feeding Programs, we were $65 short for our necessary funds needed to operate this month, April. We are saddened by this and hope and pray some how and some way, You will find it in your heart to help these malnourished children. If you have already given, we want to send a BIG Thank You, to you! You are a real blessing and a help to those we co-labor to help.

February 2020 Global Family Outreach Monthly Newsletter

Praise the Lord and greetings,

Thank you for taking the time to open and read our monthly newsletter. We are very excited to share with you our Four, that’s right, 4 GFOM Poor Children’s Feeding Programs now.

We are blessed to have one couple bless us to pay for one new and feeding program. It would be wonderful if we could have someone take on the responsibility to also “adopt” a feeding program through monthly giving. On average it costs approximately $65 every month to operate one feeding program. If you think about it, $65 is not a lot of money when you are talking about feeding 25 to 45 children four to 5 times per month.

The best part of course being involved and helping GFOM feed these children is that we do so both physically and spiritually. The children are required to attend a Bible lesson before they eat. That way they are fed God’s word and get to know Jesus. Isn’t that great? We believe it is!
